gas fumes inside car

I have a 1993 Ford Taurus sedan, It has very few miles on it. After driving it for about 15-20 minutes I start getting a gas smell inside. It only has one quarter of a tank. The mechanic has checked the pressure of the fuel system and it holds good pressure. They say they have checked everything and can't find a reason.
Hi Forrest,
The fuel smell may not be coming from the tank, it's possible your leak could be under the hood. The next time your vehicle is running and you smell fuel, open the hood and see if anything is wet with fuel. Fuel leaks under the hood are caused by fuel injector o-rings, broken fuel lines or intake manifold gasket leaks. Keep me posted on what you find Forrest, thanks.
