I’ve been working on cars for over 35 years.
I’m an ASE-Certified Master Technician, and I’ve spent most of my life diagnosing and repairing vehicles—starting right out of high school and continuing ever since.
But this site isn’t about me.
It’s about helping you understand your car—and avoiding unnecessary repairs.

One of my favorite parts of running Simple Car Answers is helping people solve their car problems. Every day, viewers from my YouTube channel leave questions about strange noises, warning lights, vibrations, leaks, and other frustrating issues they're trying to figure out.
Some problems are easy to diagnose from a good description. Others... not so much.
The truth is, it's a lot easier to diagnose a problem when I can actually see it, hear it, or watch it happen. That's where you can help.
If you're dealing with a vehicle problem, I'd love for you to send me as much information as possible. Clear pictures, short videos, and a detailed description can make all the difference. Not only will it help me give you a more accurate diagnosis, but it may also help thousands of other car owners experiencing the exact same problem.
At the moment, my website doesn't allow direct video uploads (I'm working on that!).
Instead, upload your video to a service like YouTube, Google Drive, Instagram, TikTok, or another sharing site, then include the link with your comment below.
Pictures can be attached using the comment form.
When you submit your question, please include:
It also helps to answer these questions:
The more information you provide, the better chance I have of pointing you in the right direction without having the vehicle in my shop.
With your permission, I may feature your pictures, videos, and diagnosis on Simple Car Answers. I'll remove any personal information, but your experience could become a valuable troubleshooting guide that helps other people solve the same problem and save money on repairs.
If you enjoy sharing your automotive adventures, feel free to tell the whole story. I love reading how the problem started, what you've tried so far, and what finally fixed it.
I personally read the questions that come in and do my best to point you in the right direction. Once I've reviewed your information, I'll reply with my thoughts, and you'll receive an email notification when I post my answer.
So don't be shy!
If your vehicle is making a strange noise, vibrating, leaking, refusing to start, or showing a warning light, send me the details below. Together, we'll do our best to figure it out.
I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures, videos, and your car's story!
Show Me What's Going On With Your Vehicle!
A picture is worth a thousand words, and a short video can reveal things that are impossible to describe. If your vehicle is making a strange noise, shaking, leaking, showing a warning light, or just not driving the way it should, I'd love to take a look.
Upload your pictures and include a video link from YouTube, Google Drive, Instagram, TikTok, or another file-sharing service (it's currently the only way I can view videos).
As you upload your pictures and videos, please tell me exactly what I'm looking at. Describe what's happening, when it happens, where the camera is pointed, and anything unusual you notice. The more details you provide about your vehicle and the problem, the better chance I have of giving you an accurate diagnosis and helping you avoid unnecessary repairs.
I personally review these submissions, and your vehicle could even become a featured case study on Simple Car Answers, helping thousands of other drivers solve the same problem.
